This tea ceremony is one of the more informal tea ceremonies. This ceremony doesn’t have to be planned ahead. If a closed friend or a relative who came to visit, the host can perform the Impromptu tea ceremony to greet his guests.

This tea ceremony still takes place in the tea room, but preparation is rather simple. The host will quickly clean the tea room, organize the utensils in appropriate place, and then invite the guests inside.

Once the guest sits down, the host will put the kettle over the charcoal to boil the water. During this ceremony, the host and guest (s) can exchange conversation quite comfortable. The guest then is served with a light meal like rice balls or sweet.

When the guest (s) is done, the host will clean up the plates and bowls of tea. The guests and host can then take a walk in the garden and continue with their conversation.
