What you need for green tea chicken sandwiches?

Because you need to marinate the chicken with tea, therefore, plan 1 day to make this recipe before your party.

Photo courtesy of sheilaz413

* 1 red onion
* 2 boneless chicken’s breast
* 1 eggplant
* 1/2 cup of soy sauce
* 1/2 cup of maple syrup
* Garlic clove
* Green tea leaves

How to make these delicious sandwiches?

1) There are 2 parts for this recipe: The marinade and the cooking. For the marinade, add the soy sauce, maple syrup, garlic, green tea into a bowl. Add the chicken breasts and put in the refrigerator for about 10 hours.

2) When the marinade is done, remove the chicken breasts. Save the marinade for later use. In the mean time, cut the onion and the eggplant into thin slices.

3) Preheat the oven to 350 F. Bake the chicken, onion slices, and eggplant slices. Bake the onion and eggplant for 5 minutes. Brush a bit of the marinade from step 2 onto onion and eggplant slices. Bake for another 5 minutes. Remove the 2 from the pan.

4) Bake the chicken for 25-30 minutes. Check regularly to prevent the chicken from overcooked.

5) Spread 2 sides of bread with light mayonnaise. Place a layer of red onion, then the chicken breasts, then the eggplant slices. Cut the sandwiches diagonally into 2-4 triangles, and then serve.

This recipe for green tea chicken sandwiches is very tasty and quite simple to make. The most time-consuming process is the marinade. But if you plant things ahead (needless to say that people who host many tea parties are also great organizers) , that shouldn’t cause any problem.

Enjoy,
