* Grated zest of 2 lemons
* 1/2 cup of lemon juice
* 3.5 cup of water
* 1/2 cup of sugar
* Few thin slices of ginger
* Mint sprigs
* 1 table spoon of Assam or Ceylon tea

How to make ginger iced tea?

1) Heat up a saucepan, put lemon zest, water, and ginger into the pan. Heat up to boil then simmer for 12 min.

2) Add the sugar into the saucepan and heat up to boil again. When the sugar is completely dissolved, pour the content into a bowl.

3) Add lemon juice into the bowl. Put the bowl in the refrigerator. This is the Ginger bowl. Next prepare the tea.

4) Heat up 3.5 cups of water. Add 1 table spoon of tea. Let it brew for 2-3 minutes. Then pour the content into a bowl. Let it cool for 3-4 minutes.

Take the Ginger bowl from the refrigerator and add it into the bowl that contains the brewed tea. This now is the Mix bowl.

5) Iced tea is better when serve with tall glasses. To serve, you can pour 1/4 glass with the content in the Mix bowl. Add water to fill the glass.

I say here 1/4 glass but it also depends on how strong you want your iced tea. The more Mix content, the stronger the ice tea and vice versa. You can even add some ice cube to dilute your tea if the tea is too strong. To add some color, sprinkle a bit of mints on your tea. Taste great and refreshing!
