What you need for English muffins recipe?

* 1 teaspoon of sugar
* 4 cups of all-purpose flour
* 1/4 ounces of active dry yeast
* 1 teaspoon of salt
* 1/4 cup of warm water
* 2/3 cup of warm milk
* 2 tablespoon of butter, melted, cooled
* 1 egg (lightly beaten)
* White cornmeal

How you can make it?

1) Add the warm water, sugar, and yeast into a small bowl. Let it stand in a warm place until for 15 minutes until the mixture is bubbly.

2) Add egg, milk, and melted butter into the mixture in step 1. Mix until it becomes soft dough. Knead the dough on well-floured surface until it’s smooth and elastic (8-10 minutes).

3) Put the dough into a greased bowl, coat the top with butter. Cover the bowl and let in warm place for 45 minutes until it’s double in bulk.

4) Sprinkle the board with corn meal. Take out the dough. Roll the dough until it’s 1/2 inches thick. Get the cookie cutter and cut into many round bulk. Place these bulks on a baking sheet.

5) Sprinkle more cornmeal on these round bulks. Cover them and leave them in warm place for 30 minutes.

6) Preheat the oven to 450 F. Cook the muffins for 4 minutes on each side until they are slightly brown. When they are done, place them on a plate to cool.

7) When ready to serve, cut the muffins half, spread butter or honey on top. Serve this delightful treat with tea.
