What you need for cheese tea scones?
* Baking powder
* All-purpose Flour
* Whole-wheat flour
* Margarine
* Cheddar cheese
* Dry mustard
* Milk
* Butter
* Salt to taste
How to make these scones?
1) Cut the margarine into small bits. Chop the cheddar cheese. Preheat the oven to 420 F. Grease the baking sheet.
2) Get a big clean bowl. Add 1 cup all purpose-flour, 2 table-spoons mustard, 1 cup baking powder, 1/2 cup of cheese, margarine, and 1 cup whole of wheat flour.
3) Gradually add milk to make it into dough. Flour the surface and knead the dough to obtain a smooth texture.
4) Use the rolling pin and roll the dough. Use a round cookie cutter to cut the dough. Place this round dough onto the baking sheet.
5) Bake 7-9 minutes until the scones are golden. Check the scones often to avoid overcooking. When done, place them in a nice plate. You can decorate them by sprinkle finely-chopped cheddar cheese on it.
This recipe is very easy to make and it doesn’t take very long. So entertain your guests with these scones, you will eventually be known as the best tea party host (if there ever be such contest that is…)
